flamebyrd...don't do anything to try and fix it before you read this post from Mozilla about what's happened and what they're doing about it.
For an immediate fix, they want me to enable "Firefox Studies" to install the update, which appears to allow Mozilla to make arbitrary changes to Firefox without any notification, so you'll understand if I'm hesitant to turn that on.
In the meantime, I guess I'll just... wait. With my Tampermonkey-less browser. And hope that disabling Firefox Containers hasn't leaked any cookies anywhere (and same goes for Ghostery, for that matter).
