Re: Travelers journals

Echo Park is the brand the scrapbook store carries, available in black, teal gingham and pink gingham, at roughly AUD45 for the cover and a notebook (which is comparable in price to a Happy Planner classic discbound).

The cost of getting started is why I decided to get a cheap notebook to start with, figure out how I want to use it, and then commit to a system with more versatile paper for semester 2.

Re: Pens

I've just discovered my local office supply store carries the Uni Style Fit system, so I'm going to pick up a 3 colour one of those (once I choose some colours/nib size/etc, I'm leaning towards black/light blue/purple) and go from there. I'd prefer a rubber grip on the pen, but not having to pay for shipping is a big plus for me. And for taking notes in person I think I want a multi-pen to a collection of individual pens, tempting though that is...

Also I was just tidying up the study and discovered a Uni-ball Jetstream 0.7mm, which allowed me to test their rollerball ink in my notebook! Very smooth and no bleeding through, so that's great.

My existing felt tips are Staedtler Noris Club, so kid quality, but they have a 1mm nib and a 3mm nib, so that's fun.
